Snow Day!

Hi everybody!

It's Georgia here! I am really excited to have the post today! Well today, G and her brother have a snow day! They are sledding outside right now, and I am watching through the window.
She is getting ready, puts her feet on the sled, whoosh! She sleds down the hill and.....
oooh. That was a bad crash. But G is laughing so I guess it's okay.
I ate 73 crickets yesterday and watched the NCAA basketball game! Since Leo, Mikey, Frida, and I come from North Carolina, our family was cheering for them. They won! Yay! I enjoyed sitting with G, but she had to make sure that the paper towels were near. When we relax, sometimes we let it out if you know what I mean!!! I am expecting some more crickets and a small salad today. My favorite fruit is apples. Mmm....juicy. We are under our basking lamps a lot because it is cold outside. Brrrr!!! I got to see a snowflake today. I love snowflakes. I wish I could eat one!!! G has my soft blanket (don't worry, I can't get my nails stuck in it because it is like felt) ready for me to snuggle in later this evening. Well, I hope that you all are having a great day (Snow day or no snow day)! Remember to comment with any questions or compliments, oooh and if you're a fellow beardie, tell us about your day!!! Bye everyone!

Back from Brumation!

Hey everybody! We are doing a quad-post today where each of us is going to write a part of our post! Enjoy!

Hi guys! Leo here! I've been waiting to post on here for a month now. I woke up from brumation (Bearded dragon hibernation) in February but I wanted to do a post with Mikey as well. It's weird, since I've woken up, I've been really interested in finding myself a girl dragon. That's probably because bearded dragon mating season usually happens right after we wake up from brumation. If you have a dragon who just woke up from brumation and is acting really restless and irritated, they are probably going through what I am going through, but make sure that it isn't another sort of problem. I think that if I keep scratching at the glass that I will find her......someday. Anyway, I have been having a lot of fun with G again. I missed her so much! She has been really happy, spending time with her school friends, dancing, writing a book for fun, and hanging out with our whole crew. I am really happy that she is happy, because last year at this time, she was a wreck. It was really hard for her to move here, understandably, because she had never lived anywhere except for her old home for her entire life! This year, she couldn't be happier. I believe that she is having a birthday party with some of her school friends at a water park or something. Georgia, Frida, Mikey and I don't really like water, so it is probably good that we are not going. She will be twelve this year! It is hard to believe, since I've known her since she was only eight years old! I am glad to be awake and back! Hope you all enjoy the other dragons' posts! I'll hand it off to Georgia now! (This is her and Frida's first post!)

Hello!

My name is Georgia. I am Leo and Mikey's little sister and Frida's (not biological) twin. Frida and I are 8 months old today! Yay! I am a hypo trans, 100% het zero bearded dragon, or plasma cross! I enjoy spending my time basking, running around G's bedroom and eating yummy food! I don't really like baths, but they are good for me, since I need to stay hydrated. I love G, and the treats she gives me when I am good for her. She has a fuzzy blanket for me that I like to snuggle and sleep in. It is her Spring Break from school, so she gets to be with us all day! Life is fun when you are a beardie. You get loved on and played with a lot, and you get yummy snacks! I will let Frida start now, she is excited to write. I can't wait until we get to post again! (Also, I am the favorite sister, not Frida.)

Hi peoples.

I'm Frida, Leo, Mikey and Georgia's favorite sister. I am really cool, because I am a yellow Italian Leatherback beardie, which means I have cool looking skin. I love to go on adventures around G's room and find hidden berries! I like blueberries the most! They are really sweet and soft. I also like to jump around my tank and try to play, "The Great Beardie Escape". I try to escape my tank when G opens it!!! I am enjoying life right now: Lots of food and toys! I have a ping pong ball that has my name on it that I play with in my tank. I am really good at hunting crickets, too! I can eat 110 crickets in five minutes! It's pretty cool. I also like to jump in the water, but not sit in it. It is fun, but you can't sit in there for too long or the effect won't work. I have to stop writing and let Mikey write. Bye!

Sup.

It's your pal, Mikey! I woke up from brumation around a week ago and I am eating lots. It is fun to be awake. I am enjoying life. Actually, I am not as grumpy as I was last year, which is great for G. Something that has really helped me after brumation was constant baths and sprayed greens. Lots of water is really good for us dragons when we are waking up from brumation, because we get really de-hydrated while we have our crazy sleeping fest. I haven't been as crazy as Leo, I wonder why? Maybe because I am a year older than him. I am hoping he will quit this junk. It is annoying. Oh! G is going to go to a reptile convention this weekend! She is excited, and so am I, because I bet she will bring something back! Well, I am going to give this back to Leo and he will wrap it up. Later guys.

I'm back! Haha. I hope that you all enjoyed Mikey, Georgia, and Frida's posts. We are really happy to be all together again. As Mikey said, G is going to a Reptile convention the weekend, and she will likely come back with something! If you have any questions or things to say, comment or email us! Remember to share this blog with people who might enjoy it! Thanks for reading! Have a great day everyone!

It's been awhile!

Hi guys!

Leo here! It really has been quite a long while sine we've posted, sorry about that. We've been very busy in our little lives: G has received a lead role in her ballet performance! Mikey and I are so proud of her.  She has come a long way. But that was just a side note because we have some news, so stay tuned!

I'll start with some regular news. Today is beardie Sunday which means Mikey and I will be eating our big crickets and getting baths. Georgia and Frida will continue getting crickets (because they get them all week) and likely a bath as well. But the best part for me is that I will get about thirty minutes or more with E: sitting with her, getting pet by her, sitting on her shoulder and walking around the house with her. It's probably my favorite day of the week.

Onto some fun news: the girls! They have grown an inch since they arrived: Frida is now 7 inches long and Georgia is 6 inches. This is because when Georgia was born,  one of her actual clutch mates nipped her tail (about an inch). So she is the same body length as Frida, just not the same tail length. They are becoming very social, so Mikey and I decided to let them have a couple sentences to write! They will tell me what the want to say and I will type it for them! Here we go:

"Hello! My name is Georgia. My sister is Frida. I like G. I like........I like green beans."

"Whats up? (Whispers "Is that right Mikey?" ) I am Frida. I like my sister Georgia. My favorite food is.........huh.........everything. "

Aren't they cute!?

By the way guys, Mikey and I decided to play with the gadgets on here. We added a couple things to the site so make sure to check them out! We have new links, and have set up an email account that you guys can send to! We have some of the best dragon advice around. check the right sidebar for more information!

Well thanks for reading everyone! Hope you enjoyed this post. I've gotta go get back in my cage....it's almost time for Beardie Sunday!! Have a fantastic day and remember to comment with any questions or requests. Have a great day!

A BIG update!!

 Hey dudes!

Mikey here. First off, sorry Leo and I haven't posted in awhile. We've been busy helping G with the start of the school year (Its her first year of middle school and sometimes she has panic attacks). We have some big things to cover and we have some time today, so we'll get ya caught up. But because I love making you guys read on, I'm gonna leave the biggest news for last. Here we go guys!

So like we said earlier, G started mid school a couple weeks ago. She's been doing good with her assignments and has A's in pretty much every class she takes. She really connected with one of her old friends this year and they're really good friends now.  I call her Panda because she LOVES pandas. Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked,  she comes into her room a lot more to do something called "studying" because she has tests. My opinion is, the test is supposed to see how much you know, so why read up on it the night before? Isn't that defeating the whole purpose of a test? What is a test? Hmm. Enough about school, now onto something else.

G has been talking a lot about this thing called "Halloween". She says that she would love to put wings on Leo and train me to breathe fire, but she knows that Leo ain't puttin on any costume. or maybe she meant that I couldn't breathe fire.........awww man! Oh well. Speaking of beardies breathing fire, has anyone seen the Capri-Sun commercial where the bearded dragon gets squirted with juice? Hahahaha. I could watch that commercial for days. He's all like, "Why ya squirtin me pal?"  Its TOOO funny!! Hahahahahah, ahhh good times.

Okay it's too much suspense, now for the big news!!!!!!

G has always thought about how girl bearded dragons seem cool. She talked about wanting one for a pretty long time, and she eventually brought it up to her Mom. They discussed it every now and then, but not for a very long time because they never knew if they should get one, or what to get. Well, the place where Leo and I come from is called Carolina Classic Dragons. It's an awesome place that is located in North Carolina and definitely has the best dragons ever! Our family totally recommends it! Anyway, one night, G was looking on the website and she saw a little girl bearded dragon that was 6 weeks old: a Hypo Trans, 100% Het Zero (For those of you who like the exact type) . She immediately showed her Mom who showed her Dad. They discussed it for about a day and they said that G could get her. G was so excited for her arrival. I remember how happy Leo and I were to have a little sister, it was so awesome.

And then came the surprise.

She arrived on a Tuesday after G's school was released. G ran upstairs with the package and opened it up. There in a small tupperware was the little baby girl that G had already named Georgia for the artist Georgia O'Keefe. She is so small, that G can hold her full body in one hand! Awww. G checked the box to make sure there was nothing else in there, and there was Georgia's SISTER!!! G was shocked. It was so crazy to see another tupperware in the box and it took her a minute to realize what had happened. G knew right away that her name would be Frida for the artist Frida Kahlo. She is the same age as Georgia but looks nothing like her. They weren't clutch mates, FYI but they treat each other so well. We'll attach some pictures of them, seeing as they are so adorable! I guess that I still maintain the oldest dragon spot, but now Leo gets to be a big brother too! So far, he's handling it well, except for when the girls wanna have fun. Ohh girls just wanna have fun, Ohh I mean I don't sing, what are you talking about? Pfff I hate that song! Anyway, I am the fun brother! Leo is the nice, smart and sort of strict brother. Hah, they'll say, "Wheres Mikey?" "I don't know, Frida. Did he leave?" Oh now we'll be bored forever!"  and then Leo gets all angry and tries to be fun. It doesn't work.  so then I tell a joke and Leo explains why it isn't gram cracker-ly correct. How can something be gram cracker-ly correct? Does it come in a big box? Sometimes, I don't understand him. Ohh well.

Anyway guys, I hope you enjoyed our update. The girls are eating TONS, but are very sweet. I personally like Frida best because she is feisty like me!! Georgia is a bit more like Leo, so they get along more. But thats cool, ya know. I don't care. I just think Frida is cool. Hahahahaha. I hope you have a great weekend, make sure to comment with any questions or with any new topic requests. See ya dudes!

P.S> Once Georgia and Frida are old enough, they will be able to post on the blog too! Fun, right?

Happy Birthday, Leo!

 Hi everyone!

Its Leo again.  I have been looking forward to this post for quite some time, especially since Mikey and I haven't posted in awhile. I like to blog, it helps me get everything out that I would like to say but can't. Since, ya know, I'm a bearded dragon. I can't talk, but if I could, I'd make a great conversation!!!  I'm so happy about blogging that I almost forgot to tell you, last Friday (July 22nd) was my birthday! I must have had the best birthday weekend any lizard has ever had.  I got a bath, some delicious crickets, and some great time with G. It was the greatest birthday ever! Though, there was this guy who came into G's bedroom, he had silver-ish hair and a low voice. It made me a bit startled at first, but then I knew it was okay because G started calling him, "Poppop" which I'm guessing means Grandpa. It was a pretty good weekend as well because Mikey and I talked a lot. Unfortunately, G is gone right now. She had to leave for a trip in a car, a road trip I think. I don't know if I'll survive much longer without her......Mikey says I'll be okay though. Sigh.....I hope to see her soon.

Oh I almost forgot, since it was my birthday, I'm going to attach some photos of me from last year. I was so tiny and cute! From a couple months to two years old, here I am! Well guys, I hope you all have a great day, make sure to comment and read on!

Watermelon Greens!

Hey everyone!

Its Leo again. Today has been a pretty good day so far. G and her family have been preparing all day for tomorrow, which is July 4th! They have been getting things ready for their big squirt gun fight tomorrow, which sounds pretty cool! But the thing I did not expect was that all of this crazy preparation would benefit Mikey and I. I guess G's mom found a HUGE watermelon at the store today, along with tons of fresh collard greens! When G made our salad, she threw in some tiny watermelon with some delicious watermelon juice! So, Mikey and I got to try watermelon greens! It was so good, that I ate it all when she put it in my cage. Mmmm.....delicious. Mikey said he loved it too, though I don't think he ate it all. Oh well, he'll probably finish it later.
G is probably going to come pet us once we digest our food a bit. Probably for the best. Mikey is known to throw up when he is excited. Haha! Well Mikey and I will do a duel post tomorrow seeing as it is a fun day.  I hope that you all have prepared for a great fourth of July tomorrow. Remember to comment below with any questions and Mikey and I will be sure to answer you! Have a great rest of the day!

Leo Swims to Pride!

Hi Guys!

Mikey here. I'm just gonna start out by saying today was awesome! It was cricket day today and we got some delicious ones. Petco got a fresh batch of them today and E got the first pick. So yummy! Leo and I also got baths today, and Leo did something outstanding! He taught himself how to swim! He started by pushing the water away with his right arm and leg, and did the same on the left. Then he started paddling with both sides and moved a bit. He ended up on the deep side of the bathtub and when E put her hand in the water and splashed, he swam over to her! I'm so proud of him and I'm sure that E is proud too! I was unfortunately a disappointment when I was put in the bath because all I did was try to jump out of the tub and sat around in the water. Oh well. E put some salads into our tanks after our baths because we ate our crickets fast. She figured we were still hungry, and boy was she right!
Well now I'm sitting, typing this up while she eats her dinner with her family. She is a good kid, but she definitely has a lot to learn about me. Cause I've got plenty of spunk to go around! Anyway, I hope you all have a good night, and remember to comment with any questions that you have about beardies or about our little family. Bye guys!
